Ethiopian American Muslim Association of Nashville

Who we are
A community organization with a clear charitable mission
Since 1996, EAMAN has worked to strengthen the ability of community members to pursue education, economic stability, health, cultural continuity, and meaningful participation in public life. We serve people who may be adapting to a new country, navigating unfamiliar systems, preserving faith and heritage, or looking for practical ways to support their families.
Our work is centered on community gatherings, educational support, youth empowerment, wellness information, elderly outreach, professional development, small business education, cultural preservation, civic learning, and volunteer service. Activities are offered according to community needs, available resources, and responsible partnerships.
EAMAN does not promise specific personal, financial, educational, or health outcomes. Instead, we provide information, connection, encouragement, and referrals that help individuals make informed decisions. Our programs are designed to be respectful, accessible, and connected to the real experiences of Ethiopian and other African families in Nashville.

EAMAN’s activities are designed to respond to community needs without overstating results. A family may begin by attending a cultural gathering, then learn about youth mentoring, wellness information, or career resources. An older adult may connect through a community event and later receive help locating an appropriate service provider. A volunteer may use professional experience to support a workshop or help organize outreach.
This connected approach strengthens trust and makes it easier for community members to find relevant help. We also seek partnerships with established nonprofits, schools, faith communities, health providers, workforce organizations, and public agencies when those relationships support our mission.
Visitors can use this website to understand our mission, review program descriptions, enroll in available activities, volunteer, contact the organization, or submit a donation pledge. Every core page explains what EAMAN does, who it serves, and the limits of each service.
